My haircare journey started in 2008 when hair was severely damaged from a unfortunate salon experience.
I've spent years researching my hair and the various practices that influence it. Along the way, started sharing my knowledge online and became a haircare blogger.
At the peak of my career, I was receiving boxes of products to try every single day which included $500 shampoos and $1000+ salon treatments.
I thought my dream had come true. To have access to any haircare product I wanted... and to be paid to try them!
Until... I started noticing a pattern...
When it comes to haircare, less is more.
Switching from my natural simple routine to fancy products started off well... but weeks later my hair would either become dry, brittle start to fall out... My scalp would get super oily, or super dry or itchy or all of the above.
I kept going through devastating cycles of hair loss and I completely ruined my strands a year into my career. The stress made it all worse.
I immediately stopped accepting sponsored products and cancelled all my contracts.
I needed to fix my hair problem so I started talking to chemists, nutritionists, dermatologists and trichologists.
It wasn't until I cleaned up my haircare routine and improve my lifestyle practices... that I started seeing serious results.
